Day 1-3: Blue Zebra Lodge (Luxury Safari Tents), Nankoma Island

Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at the Lilongwe International Airport, you will meet your Malawian Style Guide. After greetings we will start driving to Senga Bay – Salima for your Boat transfer to Nankoma Island. At Nankoma Island, your accommodation will be at the Blue Zebra Lodge in Safari Tents for the first two nights.

The Lodge offers 8 exclusive tented en suite chalets each overlooking the lake with some of crystal clear waters. The chalets are set in an unspoiled environment and guests are surrounded by nature and luxury. Guests are free to chill at the infinity pool, Kayak around the islands or enjoy a game of volleyball as part of the board package. The lodge also offers free use of snorkelling equipment to view the unique colourful fish that inhabit every inch of the coastline.

Day 3-6: Mvuu Camp, Liwonde National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred by boat to the mainland. You will meet your Malawian Style guide and then we will start driving to Liwonde National Park. Your accommodation at the Liwonde National Park will be at the Mvuu Camp.

Mvuu Camp overlooks a broad stretch of the Shire River (pronounced Shiree), with a profusion of hippos, crocodiles and the amazing birdlife of the Liwonde National Park. An impressive thatched dining and lounge area is situated nearby, offering a magnificent vista of the Shire River. Dinners are sometimes held under the stars in a specially constructed boma. Activities at Mvuu Camp revolve around boating trips on the Shire River and game drives (morning and afternoon/evening). If you are curious to the hidden spots of Liwonde National Park, make a nature walk or a bike ride to discover the surroundings and get surprised by the unknown places of this park.

Day 6-8: Mumbo Island, Lake Malawi

Enjoy your last morning at the Mvuu Camp. After breakfast we will drive out of the Liwonde National Park and head towards Cape Maclear and will go straight to Kayak Africa, from Kayak Africa we can either kayak out to the stunning Mumbo Island or take the boat for a 45 min trip.

Mumbo Island is a deserted tropical island on the expansive waters of the Lake Malawi. With amazing underwater boulders, around 800 species of colorful cichlid fishes and placid, clear water, the National Park offers what many consider the best freshwater snorkeling and SCUBA diving in the world.

Day 8: Departure Lilongwe

All the good things must come to an end and today after breakfast you will be transferred to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.

Day 1-3: Blue Zebra Lodge (Executive Chalet), Nankoma Island – Salima

Upon arrival at the Lilongwe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Malawian Style Guide after greetings we will drive straight to Senga Bay – Salima for your 20 minutes Boat transfer to Nankoma Island. You will be accommodated at the Blue Zebra Lodge for the first two nights.

The Lodge offers 8 exclusive tented en suite chalets each overlooking the lake with some of crystal clear waters. The chalets are set in an unspoiled environment and guests are surrounded by nature and luxury. Guests are free to chill at the infinity pool, Kayak around the islands or enjoy a game of volleyball as part of the board package. Day 3-6: Mvuu Lodge, Liwonde National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the mainland. You will meet your Malawian Style Guide and the journey to Liwonde National Park will begin. Arriving at the Liwonde National Park, your accommodation will be at the Luxury Mvuu Lodge.

Mvuu Lodge overlooks the Shire River. With a profusion of hippos (Mvuu means hippo), crocodile and amazing birdlife you can enjoy you time sitting watching the wildlife by the river, as well as joining in any of the many activities.

Activities offered include game viewing, river cruises, nature walks, bird watching, star gazing and more.
The Lodge is of top quality with very classy luxury safari tents overlooking the lagoon, the food is exceptional and the package includes sunset river cruises and early morning game drives.

Day 6-8: Pumulani Lodge, Cape Maclear

Today it is time to head to the Lake Malawi. After breakfast, prepare to leave the Mvuu lodge. Your Malawian Style guide will pick you and drive towards Cape Maclear and turn on the way to the beautiful Pumulani Lodge.

Pumulani is an exclusive beach lodge within Lake Malawi National Park. The lodge has ten individually-designed villas spread out along a lush hillside overlooking the lake. Each villa boasts a large bedroom, a spacious living area and a private deck with lake view. Guests can relax on the sandy beach or at our stylish infinity pool. For those seeking activity, there is waterskiing, sailing, diving, wakeboarding, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing and bird watching. At sunset we offer scenic cruises on our traditional wooden dhow. It’s the perfect way to experience the beauty of Lake Malawi, described by the explorer David Livingstone as The Lake of Stars.

Day 8: Departure Lilongwe

All the good things must come to an end and today after breakfast you will be transferred to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.
