Day 1: Malawian Style Guesthouse, Lilongwe

Welcome to Malawi! Your guide will meet you at Lilongwe International Airport and transfer you to the Malawian Style Guesthouse in Lilongwe where you will be accommodated for the night before proceeding to South Luangwa.

In the heart of Area 12, the guesthouse is a 5 minute walk from The Four seasons centre, 15 minute walk from The Golden Peacock Shopping Centre and the City Centre is about 20 minute walk. We are a few kilometres from Kumbali Country Lodge and have a supermarket 50 metres from the house. The house has 6 staff to help cook, clean and look after you. Our home is well furnished and comfortable, with a pool, lovely garden, good social areas, modern kitchen, fast Wi-Fi and DSTV.

Day 2–5: Croc Valley Camp, South Luangwa National Park

After a night at our guesthouse in Lilongwe, it is now time to head to South Luangwa National Park. You will be transferred by road to Croc Valley Camp.

Croc Valley Camp is set on the banks of the picturesque South Luangwa River. Set in the riverine forest, the camp is designed to be deliberately inconspicuous so as to retain the natural beauty of the surroundings and encourage wildlife to roam freely. An abundance of wildlife such as elephants, monkeys, hippos and a wide variety of antelope often pass through the camp and can be seen most days from the safety of our shaded rondavels, the bar, restaurant, chalets and tents.

On arrival at the camp you will have some time to appreciate your new home in the bush for the next few days. In the evening enjoy dinner at the tented camp restaurant overlooking the Luangwa River, watching elephants cross at dusk, and relax over a drink before retiring for the evening.

Day 5–8: The Funky Cichlid Lodge, Cape Maclear

After these few days tracking the incredible Zambian wildlife, it is time to head back to Malawi. We will go via Tribal Textiles, here they produce unique hand-painted fabrics in the heart of the African bush, empowering the community. Once we have crossed the border we will proceed to Cape Maclear where your next three nights will be spent at The Funky Cichlid.

The Funky Cichlid Lodge is situated on the beach of Cape Maclear, 500 meters from the Lake Malawi National Park. The lodge has 13 rooms and dorms with fans and mosquito nets in all its rooms. It is the best place to rest when you are tired from leisure activities.

Day 8 Departure Lilongwe

All good things must come to an end and after breakfast you will be transferred Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.

Day 1-2: Kumbali Country Lodge, Lilongwe

Welcome to Malawi, the Warm Heart of Africa! Upon arrival at the Lilongwe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Malawian Style guide. After greetings we will transfer you to Kumbali Country Lodge in Lilongwe for a night.

Kumbali Country Lodge is a private lodge, situated on a 650 hectare forest reserve and dairy farm land, only 10 minutes from the capital city, Lilongwe, along a quiet traffic-free road. The accommodation is stylish, relaxed and comfortable; it is much more than just another Lilongwe hotel.

Day 2-5: Wildlife Camp, South Luangwa

After a night at Kumbali Country Lodge, it is now time to head to South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. You will be transferred by road to Wildlife Camp.

Wildlife Camp is a safari camp on the banks of the South Luangwa National park. The guests are provided with an affordable front–row seat to one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa.

Day 5-8: Annie’s Country Lodge, Cape Maclear

After these few days tracking the incredible Zambia Wildlife, it is time to head back to Malawi. We will go via Tribal Textiles for a quick shopping trip and then later proceed to Cape Maclear.

As the adventure continues it is time to take a trip to the beautiful beaches and clear waters of Lake Malawi at Cape Maclear. The lodge offers air-conditioned rooms, perfect for a momentary escape from the African Sun. Leave your room and you are right on the lake, set to enjoy a day of water-based activities or relaxing in the sun. Wi-Fi is available for purchase in public areas, and a swimming pool, business center, and dry cleaning are onsite.

All your meals will be next door at the Malawian Style owned, cheap and cheerful Funky Cichlid, where the food is AMAZING!! We will help plan any water sports and activities to make sure you have the perfect stay in Cape Maclear.

Day 8: Departure, Lilongwe International Airport

Unfortunately, it is time to leave Malawi. After breakfast you will be transferred to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight home.

Day 1-2: Latitude 13°, Lilongwe

Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at Lilongwe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Malawian Style guide. After greetings we will start driving to Area 43 in Lilongwe. Your accommodation will be at the luxurious Latitude 13 Hotel.

This stylish boutique hotel will be a welcome surprise for business travelers and holiday makers passing through. The hotel boasts the finest restaurant in Lilongwe with an exceptional wine collection.

Day 2-5: Kafunta River Lodge, Zambia

Today after breakfast, we will head towards the Mchinji border, crossing into Zambia we drive straight to Kafunta River Lodge in South Luangwa. South Luangwa National Park is known to be one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world: 60 different animal species and over 450 bird species living in a natural and pristine environment.

Kafunta is a classic Zambian safari lodge where you will find the rest and peace you need after an exciting day of game drives with their highly knowledgeable guides. At Kafunta each of the luxury private chalets and the main lounge/dining area has fantastic views of the game rich flood plain. Next to the bar reside the pool and a natural hot spring. This unique hot tub is fed from a completely natural geothermal source on Kafunta’s grounds. Here you can enjoy pure relaxation while being presented with magnificent views over the flood plain and the Luangwa River.

Day 5-8: Pumulani Lodge, Cape Maclear

After these few days tracking the incredible Zambian wildlife, it is time to head back to Malawi. We will go via Tribal Textiles for some shopping and then later proceed to Cape Maclear. Your accommodation will be at the beautiful Pumulani Lodge. Pumulani is an exclusive beach lodge within Lake Malawi National Park. The lodge has ten individually-designed villas spread out along a lush hillside overlooking the lake. Each villa boasts a large bedroom, a spacious living area and a private deck with lake view.

Guests can relax on the sandy beach or at one of the two stylish infinity pools. For those seeking activity, there is waterskiing, sailing, diving, wakeboarding, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing and birdwatching. Included, at sunset they offer scenic cruises on the traditional hand-crafted wooden dhow.

Day 8: Lilongwe International Airport

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. After breakfast you will be transferred back to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.

Day 1-2: Mfuwe Lodge, South Luangwa

Welcome to the warm heart of Africa! Upon arrival at Lilongwe International Airport, your Malawian Style guide will welcome you and help you to connect with your flight to Mfuwe, South Luangwa. Upon arrival at Mfuwe Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Mfuwe Lodge. After greetings they will transfer you to the Lodge.

Set inside the national park, just five minutes’ drive from the main gate, the lodge’s allure is instantly obvious. Beneath a canopy of ebony and mahogany, its thatched buildings are arranged around the banks of two lagoons where an endless stream of wildlife will keep you enthralled as you lounge on the open deck or take a dip in the swimming pool. This region of the park is renowned for its prolific game – giraffe, buffalo, antelope, crocodile are constant visitors to Mfuwe Lodge’s lagoon, and in November the local elephants regularly wander right through the lobby, lured by a nearby wild mango.

Day 2-4: Mfuwe Bush Camps, South Luangwa

After breakfast, it is time to leave Mfuwe Lodge for your next destination which is right in the same South Luangwa National Park. Your guide will transfer you to Chindeni Bush Camp. In an enviable location on the edge of a lagoon where hippo chortle and elephant wallow, stands Chindeni – undoubtedly one of the most beautiful tented camps in the South Luangwa.

There’s something about sleeping under canvas that ignites a sense of adventure in everyone. At Chindeni you can combine that thrill with style and comfort in one of its four opulent tents. Gaze out from your private veranda onto the lagoon which attracts birds and animals from miles around. Or settle back with a gin-and-tonic in the central lounge and dining area – a glorious expanse of varnished decking arranged on several levels around the surrounding ebony trees, boasting, of course, the same spectacular view of the serene lagoon and its inhabitants.

Day 4-8: Kaya Mawa, Likoma Island

After your breakfast, it is time to head back to Malawi. You will be transferred from the bush-camp to Mfuwe Airport and then get a 1-hour flight to Lilongwe International Airport, before connecting to your 1-hour flight to Likoma Airport. A representative from Kaya Mawa Lodge will welcome you and take you to the Lodge.

Kaya Mawa Lodge is at the head of a crescent-shaped bay on Likoma Island, surrounded by mango trees and ancient baobabs. The main camp is located in a rocky outcrop, consisting of a bar, dining room and rock pool. Kaya Mawa has a number of stone and thatched cottages, with a luxurious & romantic villa on its own private island.

Day 8: Departure for Lilongwe Airport

All the good things must come to an end and today you will head back to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.
