Welcome to Zambia! A Malawian Style representative will meet you at Lusaka Airport and transfer you to your first destination of this tour, the Lower Zambezi.
Kiambi Lodge developed their eco-camp in a strategically chosen area to blend into the environment to feel fully immersed in the surrounding scenery and nature. Situated near the confluence of the Kafue and Zambezi rivers, Kiambi is a fantastic spot for tiger fishing and canoeing. Alternatively you can partake in game viewing river cruises. They offer luxury air conditioned chalets, luxury thatched tented chalets, self-catering accommodation as well as lush shady camping sites for those wishing to be enveloped by nature.
After breakfast, it is time to head South Luangwa National Park`s Croc Valley Camp. Croc Valley Camp is set on the banks of the picturesque South Luangwa River. You will be transferred back to Lusaka Airport where you will board a flight to Mfuwe Airport – which is in very close proximity to South Luangwa.
Your accommodation for the next 3 nights is Croc Valley Camp. Set in the riverine forest, the camp is designed to be deliberately inconspicuous so as to retain the natural beauty of the surroundings and encourage wildlife to roam freely. An abundance of wildlife such as elephants, monkeys, hippos and a wide variety of antelope often pass through the camp and can be seen most days from the safety of our shaded rondavels, the bar, restaurant, chalets and tents.
After breakfast it is time to head to Malawi. You will spend the next three nights on the shores of Lake Malawi, where you will stay at The Funky Cichlid. You will fly from Mfuwe to Lilongwe where a Malawian Style guide will meet you and transfer you by road to Cape Maclear.
The Funky Cichlid Lodge is situated at the Cape Maclear, 500 meters from the Lake Malawi National Park. The lodge has 13 rooms, and dorms with fans and mosquito nets in all its rooms. It is an ideal place to rest once you are tired with leisure activities.
After breakfast at The Funky Cichlid, you will have a boat transfer to Domwe Island where you will be accommodated for the next three nights.
Domwe Island is the largest unpopulated island in Lake Malawi, with a circumference of 11km and a highest point 400m above lake level. Domwe Island Adventure Camp is basic yet exclusive. It lies behind a small beach on the island’s west side. From solar lighting to dry compost toilets Domwe aims to be as eco-friendly as possible, so during your stay here you will be living authentically alongside nature.

Kanyemba is carved out of the African bush, Kanyemba is a wonderful family getaway in the Lower Zambezi, only two and a half hours from the capital city of Lusaka.
Kanyemba’s great atmosphere and vibe, the staff, the surrounding nature, expert guiding, and breathtaking scenery, along with their renowned cuisine will make your experience of Zambia’s hospitality one to remember!
After breakfast, it is time to head to South Luangwa National Park’s, Wildlife Camp. You will be driven to Lusaka Airport and fly to Mfuwe where you will be met by a Malawian Style representative and transferred to Wildlife Camp.
Wildlife Camp is a safari camp on the banks of the Luangwa National park Zambia. The guests are provided with an affordable front–row seat to one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa.
After these few days tracking the incredible Zambia Wildlife, it is time to head back to Malawi. We will go via Tribal Textiles for a quick shopping trip and then later proceed to Cape Maclear. As the adventure continues it is time to take a trip to the beautiful beaches and clear waters of Lake Malawi at Cape Maclear.
The lodge offers air-conditioned rooms, perfect for a momentary escape from the African Sun. Leave your room and you are right on the lake, set to enjoy a day of water-based activities or relaxing in the sun. Wi-Fi is available for purchase in public areas, and a swimming pool, business center, and dry cleaning are onsite.
All your meals will be next door at the Malawian Style owned, cheap and cheerful Funky Cichlid, where the food is AMAZING!! We will help plan any water sports and activities to make sure you have the perfect stay in Cape Maclear.
After breakfast, you will have a boat transfer to Mumbo Island. Mumbo Island is a tropical island on the expansive waters of the Lake Malawi. With amazing underwater boulders, around 500 species of colourful cichlid fishes and placid, clear water, the National Park offers what many consider the best freshwater snorkelling and scuba diving in the world.
Tours of Mumbo Island are intended to be unhurried, unrushed and tailored to your individual preferences, so you can get to know Mumbo Island personally. You could either spend your day snorkelling, enjoying the beach, or exploring this Robinson Crusoe island! By the end of the day, you could hike up to Pod Rock, known to be the best sunset point of view, to be enjoyed with a G&T in hand. Mumbo Island is simply an unforgettable experience, all in all, a small taste of heaven on earth.

From the Royal Airstrip you will catch your flight to Lusaka where you will be met ahead of your connecting flight to Mfuwe – our gateway to the South Luangwa National Park. On arrival you will be transported to one of the bush camps with an approximate transfer time of 2-4hrs, most of which is a game drive through the national park. Here you will settle into your luxury home in the bush for the next 3 nights on the doorstep of an amazing array of wildlife. Make your choice to venture out on foot for a renowned walking safari, an experience like no other, or experience the park on a traditional game drive, either way make sure you enjoy the beautiful views and sunsets with a sundowner in hand.

Off to Luangwa. Wildly luxurious, designed by award winning architects Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens, Chinzombo brings levels of comfort, style and elegance previously unseen to the Luangwa Valley.
The old Chinzombo Camp was for years the green season base for Norman Carr way back in the 1970’s. The camp is super-luxurious but retains its bush feel with grass and canvas walls and spacious living areas that melt into the exquisite surroundings of the beautiful, tranquil site.
Gigantic, ancient shade trees offer peace and tranquility for guests staying in any one of the six stunning villas, one of which is a family suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, perfect for families or small groups. Each villa has its own private pool, and massive bathroom.

It is now time to fly to the evergreen northern part of Malawi. After today’s breakfast, you will be transferred to Mfuwe airport to catch your flight via Lusaka and Lilongwe to Kaya Mawa, Likoma Island. A representative will be at the airstrip to welcome you and transfer you to Kaya Mawa thereafter.
Kaya Mawa is at the head of a crescent-shaped bay on Likoma Island, surrounded by mango trees and ancient baobabs. The main camp is located in a rocky outcrop, consisting of a bar, dining room and rock pool. Kaya Mawa has a number of stone and thatched cottages, with a luxurious & romantic villa on its own private island. The lodge was entirely built by hand, in partnership with the local community.
