Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at Lilongwe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Malawian Style guide who, after greetings, will drive you to Kumbali Country Lodge.

After your night at Kumbali you will then be transported across the border into Zambia to embark on your African safari advernture.
Wildlife Camp is a safari camp on the banks of the South Luangwa National park in Zambia. Guests are provided with an affordable front-row seat to one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa.
At the camp, there are rustic en-suite chalets, a secluded en-suite tented camp, a bush-camp for overnight walking safaris and a stunning campsite, all situated on the banks of the Luangwa River.
After 3 days in the bush it is time to visit Lake Malawi. You will spend 2 nights at Kumbali Lake Retreat.
Kumbali Lake Retreat is a new eco-friendly lodge on the beautiful shores of Lake Malawi. Owned and run by the same family who own Kumbali Country Lodge, Kumbali Lake Retreat comes with the same familiar “home away from home” feel with comfort and nature as the main focus.

After breakfast, it is time to leave the lake. Your Malawian Style guide will then drive you to Liwonde National Park.
Mvuu Camp overlooks a broad stretch of the Shire River (pronounced ‘Shiree’), with a profusion of hippos, crocodiles and the amazing birdlife of the Liwonde National Park. An impressive thatched dining and lounge area is situated nearby, offering a magnificent vista of the Shire River. Dinners are sometimes held under the stars in a specially constructed boma.
Activities at Mvuu Camp revolve around boating trips on the Shire River and game drives (morning and afternoon/evening). If you are curious about the hidden spots of Liwonde National Park, go for a nature walk or a bike ride to discover the surroundings and get surprised by the unknown places of this park.
Today you will head to Cape Maclear. Upon arrival you will drive straight to Kayak Africa reception for 10:30 am. From there you will either kayak out or boat ride to Domwe Island, it’s entirely up to you – kayaking takes approximately 45 minutes.
Domwe Island is the largest unpopulated island in Lake Malawi, with a circumference of 11km and a highest point 400m above lake level. Domwe Island Adventure Camp is basic yet exclusive, and lies behind a small beach on the island’s west side. From solar lighting to dry compost toilets, Domwe aims to be as eco-friendly as possible, so during your stay here you will be living authentically alongside nature.
Today, your Malawian Style guide will drive to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.

Following a night in Lilongwe it’s time to visit the bush!
Set inside the park, just five minutes’ drive from the main gate, the lodge’s allure is instantly obvious. Beneath a canopy of ebony and mahogany, its thatched buildings are arranged around the banks of two lagoons where an endless stream of wildlife will keep you enthralled as you lounge on the open deck or take a dip in the swimming pool.
This region of the park is renowned for its prolific game – giraffe, buffalo, antelope, elephant and crocodile are constant visitors to Mfuwe Lodge’s lagoon.
After your final breakfast in South Luangwa, we will drive back across the border into Malawi and over to Senga Bay in Salima, where you will have a boat transfer to Nankoma Island. Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at the Blue Zebra Lodge.
Blue Zebra is situated in the Lake Malawi National Park on Nankoma Island which forms part of Marelli Island Archipelago. It offers 8 exclusive tented en-suite chalets each overlooking the lake with views of the crystal-clear waters. The chalets are set in an unspoiled environment and guests are surrounded by nature and luxury. Guests are free to chill at the infinity pool, kayak around the islands or enjoy a game of volleyball as part of the full board package. The lodge also offers free use of snorkelling equipment to view the unique colourful fish that give the lodge its name and inhabit every inch of the coastline.
It’s now time to return to the bush. Your Malawian Style guide will drive you to Mvuu Lodge in Liwonde National Park.
Mvuu Lodge overlooks the Shire River. With a profusion of hippos (Mvuu means hippo in the local language, Chichewa), crocodile and amazing birdlife you can pass your time observing the wildlife by the river who rely on it as a life source, before embarking on your game viewing activities. Activities offered include morning and afternoon/evening game drives, river cruises, walking safaris, bird watching, star gazing and more.
The lodge is of top quality with luxurious safari tents overlooking the lagoon, the food is exceptional and the package includes all your activities.
After breakfast you drive to Cape Maclear where you will hop on a boat transfer to Mumbo Island. Mumbo Island is a tropical island on the expansive waters of Lake Malawi. With amazing underwater boulders and around 500 species of colourful cichlid fish, the Lake Malawi National Park offers what many consider the best freshwater snorkelling and scuba diving in the world.
Tours of Mumbo Island are intended to be relaxed and tailored to your individual preferences, so you can get to know Mumbo Island personally. You could either spend your day snorkelling, enjoying the beach, or exploring this Robinson Crusoe island!
Today, your Malawian Style guide will drive to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.
