Day 1-3: Ntchisi Forest Lodge, near Lilongwe

Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at the Lilongwe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Malawian Style guide. After greetings, we will start driving to Viphya Plateau, your accommodation for the first two nights will be at Ntchisi Forest Lodge. 

Ntchisi Forest Lodge sits on the foot of one of the last remaining indigenous rainforests in an isolated spot near Lilongwe, Malawi’s capital. You can hike or relax whilst enjoying the stunning mountain and lake views.

Day 3-5: Bua River Lodge Nkhotakota (Island Rooms)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bua River Lodge in the Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve where you will be accommodated for the next few days.

On the banks of the beautiful Bua River in Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve, Central Malawi, Bua River Lodge offers fine, en-suite, tented accommodation to a very high standard but at moderate prices. Bua River Lodge is already highly acclaimed for the friendliness of their staff, the quality of the accommodation, the standard of service and excellent food!

Day 5-8: Chelinda Lodge, Nyika Plateau

As soon as you are done with breakfast, we will depart from Bua River Lodge and drive you over to Chelinda for an alpine experience, unique on the African continent.

Located high on the Nyika Plateau within Nyika National Park, Chelinda Lodge is nestled in the alpine highlands of Nyika National Park. It lies against a magnificent backdrop of rolling hills, isolated ridges with rich grasslands.

Warm clothing should also be carried as nights on the plateau get chilly.

Day 8-10: Chintheche Inn, Chintheche

Chintheche Inn is set on the northern shores of Lake Malawi, boasting a white sand beach and crystal clear water. The surrounding area is characterised by pristine, palm-fringed beaches and dotted with fishing villages and patches of lowland tropical forest.

Ten comfortable, brightly furnished rooms with en-suite bathrooms look out over the panoramic shoreline.

Day 10-12: Blue Zebra Lodge (Luxury en-suite Safari tents), Nankoma Island

After breakfast we will start driving to Senga Bay in Salima where you will have a boat transfer to Nankoma Island, your accommodation for the next two nights will be at the Blue Zebra Lodge.

It is situated in the Lake Malawi National Park on Nankoma Island which forms part of Marelli Island Archipelago. It offers 8 exclusive tented en-suite chalets each overlooking the lake of crystal clear waters. The chalets are set in an unspoiled environment and guests are surrounded by nature and luxury. Guests are free to chill at the infinity pool, kayak around the islands or enjoy a game of volleyball as part of the full board package. The lodge also offers free use of snorkelling equipment to view the unique colourful fish that give the lodge its name and inhabit every inch of the coastline.

Day 12: Departure Lilongwe

All good things must come to an end. Today you will have a boat transfer to Senga Bay, where you will be met by your Malawian Style Guide to transfer you to Lilongwe International Airport.

Day 1-3: Blue Zebra Lodge (Executive Chalets), Nankoma Island

Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at the Lilongwe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Malawian Style guide. After greetings we will drive straight to Senga Bay – Salima for your 20-minute boat transfer to Nankoma Island. Here you will be accommodated at the Blue Zebra Lodge for the first two nights.

The lodge offers 8 exclusive tented en-suite chalets, each overlooking the lake and its crystal-clear waters. The chalets are nestled into the unspoiled island grooves and guests are surrounded by nature and luxury. Guests are free to chill at the infinity pool, kayak around the islands or enjoy a game of volleyball as part of the full board package. Day 3-6: Tongole Wilderness Retreat, Nkhotakota

Tongole Wilderness Lodge is a 4* eco-tourism venture set deep within the rugged and breathtakingly beautiful miombo woodland of Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve. Tongole has been expertly designed to incorporate the very best of local Malawian culture whilst blending in perfectly with its stunning natural setting. Day 6-9: Chelinda Lodge, Nyika Plateau

As soon as you are done with breakfast, you will depart from Bua River Lodge and drive you over to Chelinda for an alpine experience, unique on the African continent.

Day 9-12: Kaya Mawa, Likoma Island

It is now time to fly to the ever-green northern part of Malawi. You will spend your last five days at the dazzling Kaya Mawa.

Kaya Mawa Lodge is at the head of a crescent-shaped bay on Likoma Island, surrounded by mango trees and ancient baobabs. The main camp is located in a rocky outcrop, consisting of a bar, dining room and rock pool. Kaya Mawa has a number of stone and thatched cottages, with a luxurious & romantic villa on its own private island. The lodge was entirely built by hand, in partnership with the local community.

Day 12: Departure Lilongwe

All the good things must come to an end and today after breakfast you will fly to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.
