Day 1-3: Tafika, South Luangwa

Welcome to Zambia! Upon arrival in South Luangwa, you will be met by a Malawian Style representative who will transfer you to Tafika.

Tafika Camp’s location on the west bank of the Luangwa River, north of the Nsefu Sector of the South Park, makes it ideal for those who enjoy the serenity of the bush. Here, exceptional game viewing is combined with exciting activities including daily day and night drives, mountain bike safaris, walking safaris and visits to the local Mkasanga Village.

Day 3-5: Chikoko Trails / Crocodile Camp, South Luangwa

These two walking camps, right in the north of South Luangwa, are the perfect place to go walking. With no roads in this area, you will only bump into the wildlife, not other people! Based along the river pathway, the game is good here and not too skittish to those on foot but cautious enough so they don’t come too close! We had some incredible sightings here including lions on a buffalo kill and a curious night-time elephant who came to scratch on our chalet. Staying in these camps is an exciting adventure.
