Upon arrival at Mfuwe Airport, your Kafunta guide will greet you and transfer you to Kafunta. Kafunta is in a fantastic location overlooking a game rich flood plain adjacent to the Luangwa River and the South Luangwa National Park. Kafunta River Lodge is said by many to be one of the best wildlife viewing points in Africa. After a day of game drives, you will be able to relax around the campfire and share stories of your game drive experience.
After breakfast, it’s time to go deeper into the bush to Three Rivers Camp. Three Rivers Camp is located approximately 2 hours South of Kafunta River Lodge Three Rivers Camp is the latest addition to the Kafunta Safaris’ portfolio and is set at the confluence of the Luangwa, Kapamba and Lusangazi Rivers in South Luangwa, Zambia. The stylish tents lay under shady sausage trees and are facing either the Luangwa River or the game-rich lagoon.
Three Rivers Camp is exquisitely intimate with only 5 spacious tents, elegantly decorated with natural materials and earthy hues. They have large gauzed windows embracing extensive views of the Luangwa River and the nearby lagoon. Each tent has its own wooden deck with comfy chairs to enjoy the surrounding vistas.
After breakfast it’s time to hit the road and head to Salima, it’s approximately a 7-hour drive from South Luangwa. From Salima, there is a boat transfer to the island which takes about 20 minutes. Blue Zebra Island Lodge is tucked away on Nankoma Island, a part of the Marelli Island archipelago.
During your time on the island, you will be able to enjoy drinks by the pool, soak in the sun on the beach, snorkel and discover the Blue Zebra Cichlids, and even play badminton. The Island is renowned for its dazzling array of bird life, you will find yourself on an unspoilt island paradise, surrounded by nature and luxury.
Unfortunately it is time to leave Malawi. After breakfast you will be transferred to Lilongwe International airport for your flight home. Adios Amigos.

Welcome to South Luangwa! You will fly into Mfuwe via Lusaka and stay at Lion Camp. Recently refurbished and reopened in 2018, Lion Camp is among the more luxurious lodges in South Luangwa. With a heavy influence from lodges in South Africa, you can expect great service, great food and great guiding with the opulence of a boutique hotel in the bush.
Lion Camp overlooks a floodplain with a permanent waterhole, there are lots of plains game in the area from frequent elephant sightings to giraffes, antelopes and a huge number of birds.
On a small island in the warm heart of Africa nestled on the sandy beaches amongst the rocks is the wonderful Kaya Mawa by Green Safaris. Likoma Island is a unique destination in Lake Malawi providing for complete relaxation, indulgence or enjoying a range of incredible water sports in the beautiful blue waters. Kaya Mawa offers a variety of luxury rooms, chalets and houses each with their own unique décor and some with private pools.
The area is fantastic for diving and snorkelling and the island itself has lots to offer from a cathedral the same size as Winchester Cathedral in England to the fishing villages and the lake shore that turns litter and broken glass into stunning home furnishings.
Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. After breakfast you will be transferred back to Lilongwe International airport for your flight back home.

Welcome to Zambia! You will begin your trip at Luangwa River Camp.
This hidden piece of paradise is perfect for those who want more of a lodge than a tent. Although Luangwa River Camp is in the busy area of the Mfuwe sector, this lodge is hidden away, a little upstream, and is a gem of secluded paradise that only the animals seem aware of. Watch as the elephants make their journey across the river and back in the morning and evening as you enter and exit the park by boat.
Situated in the exclusive Nsefu Sector Tena Tena sits nestled under a magnificent and thick grove of mahogany trees. On a double-tiered river bank, each room enjoys its own private view onto a long stretch of the Luangwa River.
Tena Tena is synonymous with Robin Pope Safaris as it was the first camp which Robin opened and ran and has become a favourite amongst many safari lovers over the years.
All the good things must come to an end and today you will head back to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.
