Welcome to Zambia! Flatdogs Camp is on the border of the South Luangwa National Park, one of the last great wildlife wonders of the world. It is nine thousand square kilometers (3,475 square miles) of pristine wilderness and Flatdogs offers the perfect gateway. The South Luangwa NP has been visited by wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world since its creation in 1972.
Nkonzi Camp is for those who want a bit of adventure, who urge to explore the park as the founders once did all those years ago! Run by Gavin Opie, a well-renowned guide, it is a chance to see some of the parks unique flora and fauna. With an emphasis on the wildlife, this is the time to really delve into nature and learn all about the valley.
The intimate camp is simple yet comfortable with communal dinners around the fire, under the starlight, it is the perfect place to swap stories and get a good rest after tracking the animals through the day.
Tucked away on Nankoma Island, a part of the Marelli Island archipelago is the Blue Zebra Island Lodge.
Under the protection of the Lake Malawi National Park, these three Islands offer a unique opportunity to see rare species of Malawi’s colourful Cichlid fish that have earned this site its UNESCO World Heritage Site accreditation.
The Islands are also renowned for their dazzling array of bird life. Less than two hours from Lilongwe you will find yourself on an unspoilt island paradise, surrounded by nature and luxury.
Today after breakfast you will have a boat transfer to Mumbo island where you will spend the last two nights on your tour. Mumbo Island is a pristine and deserted tropical island floating on the expansive waters of the Lake Malawi National Park. With a maze of massive underwater boulders, innumerable species of colourful cichlid fish and calm, clear water, the National Park offers what many consider to be the best freshwater snorkelling and SCUBA diving in the world. All tents are fully furnished with en-suite bathrooms.
All the good things must come to an end! Your Malawian Style guide will drive you back to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home. End of Tour…

At Chindeni you can combine that thrill with style and comfort in one of its four opulent tents. Gaze out from your private veranda onto the lagoon which attracts birds and animals from miles around. Or settle back with a gin-and-tonic in the central lounge and dining area – a glorious expanse of varnished decking arranged on several levels around the surrounding ebony trees, boasting, of course, the same spectacular view of the serene lagoon and its inhabitants.
As a result of an all-embracing approach to tourism over the last 15 years, Nkwichi has become intrinsically linked to the surrounding communities and it’s natural environment.
