Day 1: Kumbali House, Lilongwe

Welcome to Malawi! Your guide will meet you at Lilongwe International Airport and transfer you to Kumbali Village in Lilongwe where you will be accommodated for the night before proceeding to South Luangwa. Kumbali Cultural Village offers very rustic accommodation ideal for groups of visitors who want an original stay over in Lilongwe or for volunteers who want to work on the surrounding community projects, as well as being wonderful accommodation for corporate retreats, team building or school trips. It also offers a family friendly environment and special functions of Malawian cuisine and traditional entertainment are always a fun night out for visitors and locals.

Kumbali Village also prides itself in providing excellent entertainment. We have two bands that play music ranging from traditional Malawian music to reggae and contemporary pop music. They play both acoustic and electric instruments depending on the occasion.

Day 2–5: Croc Valley Camp, South Luangwa National Park

After a night at Kumbali Village, it is now time to head to South Luangwa National Park. You will be transferred by road to Croc Valley Camp.

Croc Valley Camp is set on the banks of the picturesque South Luangwa River. Set in the reverine forest the camp in deliberately inconspicuous so as to retain the natural beauty of the surroundings and encourage wildlife to roam freely. An abundance of wildlife such as elephants, monkeys, hippos and a wide variety of antelope often pass through the camp and can be seen most days from the safety of our shaded rondavels, the bar, restaurant, chalets and tents.

At arrival at the camp you will and have some time to appreciate our new home in the bush for the next few days. In the evening we enjoy dinner at the tented camp restaurant overlooking the Luangwa River, watching elephants cross at dusk, and relax over a drink before retiring for the evening.

Day 5–8: The Funky Cichlid Lodge, Cape Maclear

After these few days tracking the incredible Zambia Wildlife, it is time to head back to Malawi. We will go via the Tribal Textile and then later proceed to Cape Maclear. Your three nights will be spent at The Funky Cichlid.

The Funky Cichlid Lodge is situated at the Cape Maclear, 500 meters from the Lake Malawi National Park. The lodge has 13 rooms and dorms with fans and mosquito nets in all its rooms. It is a best place to rest when you are tired with leisure activities.

Day 8 Departure Lilongwe


All good things must come to an end and after breakfast you will be transferred Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.

Day 1-2: Kumbali Country Lodge, Lilongwe

Welcome to Malawi, the warm heart of Africa! Upon arrival at the Lilongwe International Airport, You will be welcomed by your Malawian Style Guide. After greetings we will transfer you to Kumbali Country Lodge in Lilongwe for a night.

Kumbali Lodge is a private lodge, situated on a 650 hectare forest reserve and dairy farm land. Only 10 minutes from the capital city, Lilongwe, along a quiet traffic-free road. The accommodation is stylish, relaxed and informal; it is much more than just another Lilongwe hotel.

Day 2-5: Wildlife Camp, South Luangwa

After a night at Kumbali country Lodge, it is now time to head to South Luangwa National Park. You will be transferred by road to Wildlife Camp.

Wildlife Camp is a safari camp on the banks of the Luangwa National park Zambia. The guests are provided with an affordable front – row seat to one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa. At the camp there is rustic en – suite chalets, a secluded en – suite tented camp, a bush camp for overnight walking safari and a stunning campsite, all situated on the banks of the Luangwa.

Day 5-8: Annie’s Country Lodge, Cape Maclear

After these few days tracking the incredible Zambia Wildlife, it is time to head back to Malawi. We will go via the Tribal Textile and then later proceed to Cape Maclear. You will be accommodated at Annie’s Lodge.

Situated in Cape Maclear, Annie’s Lodge is an aparthotel with a restaurant, lounge and also has an outdoor pool free self – parking is free. Additionally, WiFi in public areas, a business center, and dry cleaning are onsite.

All the 11 apartments provide conveniences like refrigerators and coffee makers, plus WiFi and flat-screen TVs. Room service and desks are among the other amenities available to guests.

Day 8: Departure, Lilongwe International Airport


Unfortunately it is time to leave Malawi. After breakfast you will be transferred to Lilongwe International airport for your flight home. Adios Amigos.

Day 1-2: Latitude 13°, Lilongwe

Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at Lilongwe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Malawian Style guide. After greetings we will start driving to Area 43 in Lilongwe. Your accommodation will be at the luxurious Latitude 13 Hotel.

Day 2-5: Kafunta River Lodge, Zambia

Today after breakfast, we will head towards the Mchinji border, crossing the border into Zambia we drive straight to Kafunta River Lodge in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. South Luangwa National Park is known to be one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world: 60 different animal species and over 400 bird species living in a pristine environment.

Kafunta is a classic Zambian safari lodge where you will find the rest and peace you need after an exciting day of game drives with their highly knowledgeable guides. At Kafunta each of the luxury private chalets and the main lounge/dining area has fantastic views of the game rich flood plain. Next to the bar reside the pool there is the only natural hot spring in the Luangwa Valley. This unique hot tub is fed from a completely natural geothermal source on Kafunta’s grounds. Here you can enjoy pure relaxation while being presented with magnificent views over the flood plain and the Luangwa River.

Central to the lodge is the spacious lounge and dining area that has been thatched in the traditional style. A tall old semi-evergreen wild mango tree in the centre gives shade on sunny days. There is a welcoming camp fire which is lit each evening as the sun goes down and guests and guides meet around the fire to share the latest stories of wildlife encounters or, simply to listen to the sounds of the bush.

Day 5-8: Pumulani Lodge, Cape Maclear

After these few days tracking the incredible Zambian Wildlife, it is time to head back to Malawi. We will go via Tribal Textile and then later proceed to Cape Maclear. Your accommodation will be at the beautiful Pumulani Lodge. Pumulani is an exclusive beach lodge within Lake Malawi National Park. The lodge has ten individually-designed villas spread out along a lush hillside overlooking the lake. Each villa boasts a large bedroom, a spacious living area and a private deck with lake view.

Guests can relax on the sandy beach or at our stylish infinity pool. For those seeking activity, there is waterskiing, sailing, diving, wakeboarding, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing and birdwatching. At sunset we offer scenic cruises on our traditional wooden dhow.

Day 8: Lilongwe International Airport


Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. After breakfast you will be transferred back to Lilongwe International airport for your flight back home.

Day 1-2: Mfuwe Lodge, South Luangwa

Welcome to the warm heart of Africa! Upon arrival at Lilongwe International Airport, your Malawian Style Guide will welcome you and help you to connect with your flight to Mfuwe, South Luangwa. Upon arrival at Mfuwe Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Mfuwe Lodge. After greetings he will transfer you to the Lodge.

Set inside the park, just five minutes’ drive from the main gate, the lodge’s allure is instantly obvious. Beneath a canopy of ebony and mahogany, its thatched buildings are arranged around the banks of two lagoons where an endless stream of wildlife will keep you enthralled as you lounge on the open deck or take a dip in the swimming pool. This region of the park is renowned for its prolific game – giraffe, buffalo, antelope, crocodile are constant visitors to Mfuwe Lodge’s lagoon, and whilst in November the local elephants regularly wander right through the lobby, lured by a nearby wild mango.

Day 2-4: Mfuwe Bush Camps, South Luangwa

After breakfast, it is time to Mfuwe lodge for your next destination which is right in the same South Luangwa national park. Your guide will transfer you to Chindeni Bush Camp, another great Bushcamp product. In an enviable location on the edge of a lagoon where hippo chortle and elephant wallow, stands Chindeni – undoubtedly one of the most beautiful tented camps in the South Luangwa.

There’s something about sleeping under canvas that ignites a sense of adventure in everyone. At Chindeni you can combine that thrill with style and comfort in one of its four opulent tents. Gaze out from your private veranda onto the lagoon which attracts birds and animals from miles around. Or settle back with a gin-and-tonic in the central lounge and dining area – a glorious expanse of varnished decking arranged on several levels around the surrounding ebony trees, boasting, of course, the same spectacular view of the serene lagoon and its inhabitants.

Day 4-8: Kaya Maya, Likoma Island

After your breakfast, it is time to head back to Malawi. You will be transferred from the Bushcamp to Mfuwe Airport and then help you get a 1 hour flight to Lilongwe International Airport, before connecting to your 1 Hour flight to Likoma Airport. A representative from Kaya Mawa Lodge will welcome you and take you to the Lodge.

Kaya Mawa Lodge is at the head of a crescent-shaped bay on Likoma Island, surrounded by mango trees and ancient baobabs. The main camp is located in a rocky outcrop, consisting of a bar, dining room and rock pool. Kaya Mawa has a number of stone, thatched cottages and 2 family beach villas, with a luxurious & romantic villa on its own private island.

Day 8: Departure for Lilongwe Airport


All the good things must come to an end and today you will head back to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.
