The Best of Zambia, 11 Days (USD 1750)

Day 1: Meet in Lilongwe and head towards the Luangwa Valley in Zambia with packed lunch en route. Will leave Lilongwe at approximately 9am and arrive mid afternoon. In South Luangwa we will be based at Croc Valley Camp, where all meals, chalet accommodation and game drives are included. After arriving and settling into our chalets, we will have some time to appreciate our new home in the bush. Enjoy dinner at the camp restaurant overlooking the Luangwa River, watching elephants cross at dusk and relax over a drink before retiring for the evening. Upgrades Available

Day 2 - 3: Start the day with breakfast at the camp followed by an early morning game drive. Enjoy the sights of the national park before returning to camp for lunch. Take a refreshing swim in the pool before entering the national park to go on a late afternoon/night game drive. This is a unique way to view the nocturnal activity of the park. Dinner will be served at the tented camp restaurant.

Day 4: After breakfast depart for the big city - Lusaka. A night of luxury in the Protea Lusaka hotel, based in possible the best location in Lusaka, in a shopping complex right next door to all the shops, casino, bars, restaurants… and it is a Protea so top quality!

Day 5: After breakfast we will head to one of the seven wonders of the world, Victoria Falls, on the Zambian side in the thriving city of Livingstone. This is a fairly long drive, probably about 7hrs so we should be there late afternoon. Here we will be in less fancy accommodation and based in one of the lively backpacker hangouts, perfect for meeting new people, letting your hair down and having a little bit of a party. This is also a great spot for booking all your activities such as white water rafting, bungee jumping, tiger fishing and of course day trips to the falls.

Day 5 - 9: Jolly boys Backpackers - Livingstone, Zambia (Accommodation and breakfast included) Upgrades Available

Day 9-11: Very Early start as we start making our way towards Lake Kariba, where we will board the Southern Belle Houseboat for two days and experience the real Kariba. Check in time is noon. The Southern Belle is a massive, recently refurbished luxury houseboat. ON the Southern Belle, again in luxury all meals are included and if you wish to venture off and go fishing on the tender boats this is also part of the deal.

Day 11: Sadly this is the end of the trip and back to the real world we go. This is about a 8 hr drive so should be back in LL by 6pm.
