5 day Luwawa Mountain Bike Wilderness Trail (USD 600 per person)

Day 1: Leave Lilongwe around 9am and head for stunning Luwawa forest Lodge, where we will be based in chalet accommodation and on Full Board Basis. We should be there for lunch and have afternoon to explore and enjoy the many activities on offer.

Day 2 - 5: The Luwawa Mountain Bike trail takes three days Cycling, a total distance of 150km with the first night at Kasito forestry lodge with all facilities provided. The second night is spent camping out side Kawalazi Estate Club House, (bar, showers, toilets, kitchen etc). All food, cooking, camping and mountain biking equipment for the three days is provided along with a back up vehicle, Guides, mechanic and first aid equipment.
The route follow an old ridge road through the pines and out onto the virgin grasslands of the high plateau and then descends through indigenous woodland an on to Kasito Lodge at Chikangawa. The second day of the trail descends the African rift lake escarpment with amazing panoramic views and down to Kawalazi Estate for the second night. The third day the route climbs over an escarpment through Chome tea estate and onto Vizara rubber estate to finish on the M5 road to Chintheche Inn.

Day 3: Approx 40Km (around 5 hours Biking + breaks)

Day 5: After Breakfast we start making our way back to Lilongwe, and should be there shortly after lunch.
