Day 1: The flight to South Luangwa departs at 10:15am so we would need to be at the airport by 8:30 latest and therefore leave Burley House by 8am. The flight to Mfuwe Airport is about 45 min, so will arrive at about 11am, where Mfuwe lodge will meet you on arrival at the airport and treat you like kings and queens. The drive from the airport to this stunning lodge is about 20 minutes and yes the lodge is in the actual park.

Day 6: Hopefully after 5 nights in the wild you’ll be ready for some more beach time as we jet set you across to Likoma Island. The flight leaves Mfuwe at 11:30am, so you will probably have to leave the lodge no later than 10am. Unfortunately the flight goes via Lilongwe so only arrives on Likoma Island at 14:30pm, where the staff from Kaya Mawa lodge will be there to meet and greet you and escort you to this fantastic spot on Likoma Island. This is where you will chill and relax for the next four days… the Lake is your oyster with loads of exciting things on the go…

Day 6-11: Kaya Mawa (Full Board) – Likoma Island, Lake Malawi www.kayamawa.com

Day 11: Return to Likoma Airport to board flight back to Lilongwe. The flight back to Lilongwe departs at 14:45 so no need to be at the airport much before 14:00. The flight arrives back into Lilongwe at 15:30, so onward travel arrangements can be made from there and accommodation if needed.
